John Caswell

John has a lifelong interest in helping and caring for others.

As a teacher, as well as teaching his subject, French (not “taking French leave” and not needing you to “pardon my French”), John was responsible for overseeing the welfare (personal and academic) of a year group of pupils for many years. As a personal advisor with social services, John subsequently mentored young people in the care system, pointing out to them a wiser and safer lifestyle, and helping them to find a way through the bumps and hollows of life.

Moving on to counselling with a more formal training was a natural progression for John. John attended a three year degree course in counselling and has since worked as a counsellor in a GP practice, schools, and local counselling agencies.
John has seen many people find greater strength to make difficult but necessary decisions, find solutions to issues troubling them, create new options to choose from or arrive at a place of greater acceptance of a situation that perhaps cannot be changed.

Living in Fermanagh for many years, John takes pride in his wonderful wife three excellent grown up “children” and three delightful grandchildren.
